NEW FOR FALL 2025 — NATIONAL ARTIST'S DAYS

Philippe Scrive, Master sculptor
Saturday, September 13
On the occasion of a day dedicated to artists, Galerie S/Beaubourg is organizing a meeting focused on the work of sculptor Philippe Scrive on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Renowned for his intuitive and physical approach to sculpture, Philippe Scrive situates his work within the tradition of free form, engaging in direct dialogue with materials. Wood, bronze, alabaster, and marble become, under his hands, vehicles of a creative energy positioned between abstraction and figuration, between mass and elevation. Driven by an internal dynamic, his sculptures assert themselves as presences both archaic and organic, exploring the thresholds of life at the heart of the material’s density. This event will offer the public an opportunity to discover the artist’s universe and to engage in discussions about his artistic choices and sensitive relationship with materials.

Antoni Taulé, A Selection of Works
Saturday, September 13, 2:00 PM - 7:30 PM
La Galerie S/Beaubourg invites you to discover, or rediscover, the pictorial monuments of Antoni Taulé, a Catalan artist of metaphysical realism.
Through a selection of masterful paintings, the artist immerses us in a suspended space-time, where architecture and meditative landscapes become gateways to an introspective journey through reality.
For this final weekend dedicated to the artists, under the direction of Art Engagement Consulting and Art Mouvance, the exhibition unfolds as a unique showcase for the sculptures of Philippe Scrive. This ultimate theatrical diptych brings into dialogue two singular worlds: Taulé’s metaphysical realism, where space becomes contemplation, and Scrive’s organic sculpture, where wood, bronze, alabaster, and marble reveal a vital energy contained within the material — between formal abstraction and anthropomorphic evocations.

Óleos — Virtual exhibition, summer 2025
Art Mouvance
The virtual gallery Art Mouvance presents, during the summer of 2025, the exhibition "Óleos”, dedicated to a selection of recent works by Juan Carlos Zeballos Moscairo.
Philippe Scrive, Aluminium Sculptures
Our catalogue presents a selection of aluminium sculptures by artist Philippe Scrive. Reflecting a sculptural inquiry in which industrial material is reappropriated by the artist’s hand, the ensemble reveals a subtle dialogue between organic form, internal tension, and formal construction. Each piece unfolds its own vocabulary, marked by a balance between fragmentation, density, and volume. This catalogue features a selection available for acquisition. Please contact us if you need any additional information.

Matrix Mater Materia
The exhibition Matrix, Mater, Materia – The Substance, presented throughout the month of July 2025, with a highlight on the 11th and 12th at the S/Beaubourg gallery, concludes the trilogy of programming initiated in mid-March by Art Engagement Consulting, which has taken over the general management of the space. Conceived as a structuring milestone before the fall season, this event brings together three major international artists — Antoni Taulé, Bedri Baykam, and Philippe Scrive — in a scenography designed by Art Mouvance, and connects three distinct aesthetic movements: metaphysical realism, neo-impressionism, and abstract sculpture.
Taulé presents landscapes where a clear, structuring horizon line divides the pictorial space into dual realities, oscillating between visible and invisible, presence and absence. Baykam, working in a neo-expressionist vein, revisits archetypes of the female figure through a critical reinterpretation and dense chromatic layering. Scrive explores matter in its energetic and vibratory dimension through abstract forms with evocative power.
The exhibition follows a performative curatorial approach, prioritizing the viewer’s immediate experience and the continuity of the journey, rather than a thematic or chronological arrangement. The title — Matrix, Mater, Materia — refers to the three foundational dimensions of the creative act: the matrix as an original blueprint, the mother as a generative principle, and matter as an operative substrate, asserting that every work arises from the same substance, both formal and ontological.
This project marks the culmination of an original curatorial cycle and anticipates the critical and artistic directions that Art Engagement Consulting and Art Mouvance – Société pour l’art will pursue in fall 2025.

Talk on the Book The Pre-Columbian Code at the Mexican Cultural Institute
On July 3, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., Micaela Neveu, founder of Art Engagement Consulting, will present her book The Pre-Columbian Code: Messenger of the Gods (Éditions de Paris) during a talk at the Mexican Cultural Institute in Paris.
This essay explores the circulation and interpretation of pre-Columbian objects in European collections from the 16th to the 19th century. It extends the research conducted by Art Engagement Consulting on narratives of influence, critical exhibition design, and symbolic readings of artifacts.
This event is part of our ongoing effort to highlight non-Western heritage and foster cross-cultural perspectives on art, culture, power, and memory.

Monumental Scrive: Sculpture as a Living Presence

Monumental Scrive brings together a collection of abstract sculptures by Philippe Scrive, conceived not as objects to be interpreted, but as presences to be physically experienced. At the center of the installation, L’Homme-Cerf (The Stag-Man) — a figure inspired by the god Cernunnos — condenses the tensions of the work: archaic force, ritual verticality, and the principle of transformation. It lays the foundation for a perceptual space where matter, energy, and form are inseparable.
The scenography, developed in collaboration with the artist, organizes a structured path centered on movement and perception. For the occasion, the works have been renamed to guide interpretation toward their telluric (earthly) and gestural dimensions. Rather than being apprehended solely by sight, they engage the body through proximity, scale, and movement.
Monumental Scrive extends the reflection begun at Galerie S/Beaubourg around the notion of an "other world," introduced in Entropie (Antoni Taulé) and later explored in Les Demoiselles Revisited (Bedri Baykam), where painting became a critical device and memory of the modern gesture.
Exhibition on view until July 19 at Galerie S/Beaubourg.

The Dumas Club - Boxing Art
The Dumas Club, literary and artistic circle of the Galerie S/Beaubourg, invites you to an exceptional encounter on Wednesday, June 5 at 6 PM, on the occasion of the exhibition Les Demoiselles Revisited by Bedri Baykam, with the support of Art Mouvance – Société pour l’art. For over forty years, Baykam has been in dialogue with Picasso’s Les Demoiselles d’Avignon — a modern art landmark already deeply rooted in references to African and extra-Western arts. In response, he has created a critical, visual, and subversive universe, weaving together art historical cartographies, enigmatic female figures, and 4D lenticulars.
